OF THEOLOGY
Our Graduate Diploma of Theology is a postgraduate qualification for those with a bachelor's degree to gain in-depth theological knowledge for ministry, leadership, or further academic study.​

Student Learning Objectives:

The learner will prepare for service in the church

The learner will strengthen their skills and knowledge in religious education through the study of major sources of biblical, theological, historical, ethical, and cultural studies and the integration of those studies into the ministry

The learner will analyze the history, teaching, and the theoretical concepts pertaining to the teaching of the Old Testament and the New Testament

The learner will interpret scriptures relevant to the use of gifts in Theology

Prerequisite: Graduate of Biblical Studies Degree/Diploma.

Graduation Requirement: A 7,000 word thesis / dissertation on topics given by ABCTS is required for this degree, typed and submitted to the Institute Dean no later than April 15th. This is mandatory! Without this thesis / dissertation, you will not receive your degree.

MBS 401: Leviticus (3hrs)
This study provides an expository study of the book of Leviticus in its respective historical and cultural settings. You will study that the book of Leviticus gives the detail of the walk, worship, and service of His people.

MBS 408: Saul & Samuel I (3hrs)
Course Description
A spiritual application study of the prophet Samuel's birth and public ministry, and the early years of Saul's reign as the first king over Israel.
MBS 402: Numbers (3hrs)
Course Description
The study of Numbers takes up the story where Exodus left it, and you will see it is the book of the wilderness wanderings of the redeemed people consequent upon their failure to enter the land at Kadesh-Barnea. This study will show this book as the book or service and walk and completes, with the preceding books, a beautiful moral order.
MBS 403: Deuteronomy (3hrs)
Course Description
This study consists of the parting counsels of Moses delivered to Israel given their impending entrance upon their covenanted possession. It contains a summary of the wilderness wanderings of Israel, which is important as unfolding the moral judgment of God upon those events.

Course Description
A spiritual application study of the prophet Samuel's life and the decline of Saul's character and latter years of reign as the first king over Israel.

Course Description
A study of King David's life; his triumphs and his trials.

A comprehensive chapter study of the kings of Israel and Judah, beginning after David - I Kings 1 through 14 and / II Chronicles 1 through 12.
MBS 405: Kings II (3hrs)
Course Description
A comprehensive chapter study of the kings of Israel and Judah, beginning after David - I Kings 15 through 22 and / II Chronicles 13 through 20.
MBS 406: Kings III (3hrs)
Course Description
A comprehensive chapter study of the kings of Israel and Judah, beginning after David - II Kings 1 through 13 and / II Chronicles 21 through 24.
MBS 407: Kings IV (3hrs)
Course Description
A comprehensive chapter study of the kings of Israel and Judah, beginning after David - II Kings 14 through 25 and / II Chronicles 25 through 36.
MBS 411: Psalms I (3hrs)
Course Description
A descriptive study of the characteristics of Hebrew poetry; first in a three-part survey of the psalms, covering the psalms of devotion and the imprecatory psalms.
MBS 412: Psalms II (3hrs)
Course Description
Second in a three-part survey of the psalms, covering the Messianic psalms.
MBS 413: Psalms III (3hrs)
Course Description
Third in a three-part survey of the psalms, covering the penitential psalms, psalms of worship, praise and adoration, and the historical psalms.
MBS 414: A Journey into The Bible (5hrs)
A Supplemental Resource Study for the Graduate Program
Course Description
A study into the Bible enhanced by an in-depth workbook.
MBS 415: Required Theological Thesis (6hrs)
Course Description
A doctrinal series followed by a 7,000 word Thesis/Dissertation.
