GRADATE DIPLOMA
OF THEOLOGY

Our Graduate Diploma of Theology is a postgraduate qualification for those with a bachelor's degree to gain in-depth theological knowledge for ministry, leadership, or further academic study.​

Student Learning Objectives:

  • The learner will prepare for service in the church

  • The learner will strengthen their skills and knowledge in religious education through the study of major sources of biblical, theological, historical, ethical, and cultural studies and the integration of those studies into the ministry

  • The learner will analyze the history, teaching, and the theoretical concepts pertaining to the teaching of the Old Testament and the New Testament

  • The learner will interpret scriptures relevant to the use of gifts in Theology

Prerequisite: Bachelor of Biblical Studies Degree/Diploma.

​

Graduation Requirement: A 6,000 word thesis / dissertation on topics given by ABCTS is required for this degree, typed and submitted to the Institute Dean no later than April 15th. This is mandatory! Without this thesis / dissertation, you will not receive your degree.

Course Description

An in-depth study of the prophets Amos, Obadiah & Jona.

GBS 303: Minor Prophets III (3hrs)

Course Description

An in-depth study of the prophet Micah.

GBS 304: Minor Prophets IV (3hrs)

Course Description

An in-depth study of the prophets Nahum & Habakkuk.

GBS 305: Minor Prophets V (2hrs)

Course Description

An in-depth study of the prophets Zephaniah & Haggai.

GBS 313: Jeremiah II (2hrs)

Course Description

Chapters 19-40; a study on specific and dated prophecies.

GBS 314: Jeremiah III (2hrs)

Course Description

Chapters 41-52; a study on specific prophecies and prophecies concerning the nations.

GBS 315: Lamentations (2hrs)

Course Description

A comprehensive study regarding the fall of Jerusalem.

GBS 316: Song of Solomon (2hrs)

Course Description

A chapter by chapter study from a devotional and inspirational viewpoint that portrays the beautiful allegory of Jesus Christ and His Church.

GBS 306: Minor Prophets VI (2hrs)

Course Description

An in-depth study of the prophets Zechariah & Malachi alongside a chapter study of the 12 minor prophets divided into 6 study booklets. These studies help to give a clear understanding of the prophecies during this period of Israel's history.

GBS 317: Joshua (2hrs)

Course Description

A comparative study of the history of Israel's possession of "the Promised Land" and its spiritual applications.

GBS 307: Ezekiel I (2hrs)

Course Description

Chapters 1-11; Ezekiel's call to the ministry, the message of judgment upon Jerusalem and the nation of Israel; includes historical chart.

GBS 308: Ezekiel II (2hrs)

Course Description

Chapters 12-28; Ezekiel's message to the false prophets and false shepherds; describes the fall and judgment of Lucifer.

GBS 309: Ezekiel III (2hrs)

Course Description

Chapters 29-48; the judgment of Egypt, the Valley of dry bones prophecy, and the fulfillment of end-time events; includes charts.

GBS 310: Biblical Prayers (2hrs)

Course Description

A study of prayers in the Bible prayed by people who served God; praying effectively.

GBS 318: Judges (2hrs)

Course Description

A study of God's repeated deliverance of Israel during a time of increasing national apostasy and the examples that heroes of faith provide for the believer.

GBS 319: Ecclesiastes (2hrs)

Course Description

A comprehensive study of one of the Old Testament books of wisdom, which emphasizes the spiritual principles, discovered by Solomon in his search for true reality.

GBS 320: A Journey into The Bible (8hrs)

Course Description

A study into the Bible enhanced by an in-depth workbook.

Course Description

A doctrinal series followed by a 6,000 word Thesis/Dissertation.

GBS 311: The Book of Job (2hrs)

Course Description

A relatively detailed study of the entire book; the theme focus on the enigma of human suffering, faith, and the power of God.

GBS 312: Jeremiah I (2hrs)

Course Description

Chapters 1-1; The call of Jeremiah; general and unrelated prophecies.
